Yeah you know hospitals have to keep the temps low, not just for comfort but to also reduce bacterial growth which thrives in wet warm climates....

Well... gee whiz... I wonder....

We've heard how many idiots calling CO2 in the atmosphere "pollution" ? ? Even government people like here in Canada..

Pollution.... by the very definition of the word is bad..... and the best amount of pollution is no pollution at all.... . RIGHT ? ? ?

Come on..... all you have to do is take it to its logical conclusion....

Depends. That's why Milton Friedman said to tax pollution.

Oh.... You like Milton Friedman ? ?

So do you like everything else he also said ? ?

How 'bout: "If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in 5 years there'd be a shortage of sand.:

And:
"Underlying most arguments against the free market is a lack of belief in freedom itself."

And: "I am in favor of cutting taxes under any circumstances and for any excuse, for any reason, whenever it's possible."

I bet you love those quotes from Milton Friedman..

Oh.... You like Milton Friedman ? ?
Musk is saying the same thing: Tax carbon.

You like Musk?
Post by Catoni
So do you like everything else he also said ? ?
Milton and Musk agree guaranteed income is better than means testing programs.

As Friedman put it, "if you pay people to be poor, next thing you know, you have a lot of poor people."

That's why we need to tax and spend to support negative tuition. If you pay people to be smart, next think you know, there ain't no deniers.

Very true and explains why Friedman as well as looneytarians always dodged this question:

"Does free speech precede each and every free marketry free trade?"

Friedman and looneytarians never really supported freedom.

I bet you love those quotes from Milton Friedman..
The political guru of the founders of the greatest nation on earth, the "celebrated Montesquieu," said "taxation is 100% correlative with freedom."

You like that quote?

Henry George's _Progress and Poverty_, which sold more copies than any other economics book in history, and indeed, up until that time any book _period_ in the U. S., suggested taxing land at 100% rental value.

You like that quote?

Now combine Montesquieu and George and discover the secret for maximum freedom:

Taxing land at 100% rental value & redistributing on a / head basis => maximum freedom.

You like that?

I see..... so you like the "freedom" that you find in fascist and socialist communist systems.... like the good 'ole Soviet Union, fascist Italy and Nazi Germany, Chairman Mao's Communist China, Castro's Cuba, and Venezuela now..

Sorry... but no.... I don't like that.. You can have it..... have fun under your "free" system..

The temp needle hit 110f in the backyard in the direct sun, thats a lot of energy heating the ground that could be used for generating power.

So at the time the electricity is needed to cool, its strong, so why would chompers make a big deal about energy density when the suns energy is all right there freely delivered to the spot when its needed!

So you admit that it is the Sun causing the heat... not mankin... oops... I meant "person"kind's CO2 causing the heat....

Thank you.

Gosh, wow, so you take the atmosphere out of the equation and what happens, the sun heats the rock and the rock cools faster, toss in an atmosphere with co2 and the rock does not cool as fast..

Oops....did you get the memo that earth has an atmosphere?

Climate science perdicted more record heat waves but the temps are rising so fast it's hard for SoCal Edison to keep up:

"Peak energy demand climbed to 6,256 megawatts on Friday, knocking down the previous July record of 6,165 megawatts set in 2006 and making it the fifth-highest peak demand ever recorded in the city’s history."

The notion that people need reliable continuous power has gotten a bit out of hand. A lot of places in S. America and Africa don't shoot for 60/60/24/7/52.

companies forecast future peak demands?

The forecast was 100% accurate but the final decision was left to
a manager with insignificant science and math background.

And daily we're reminded what that looks like...

Thai authorities confirm, rescue is underway
ABC News, Sun Jul 8 14:30:39 EST 2018
Officials say the trapped football team will be helped out of the
cave complex over the next few hours. The operation started about 90
mins ago. Reporters on the scene say 100s of ox tanks have been
assembled in the past day. They say at present none of the rescued
boys has emerged from the caves. Officials have pushed the media about
2 km back from the cave entrance. The operation supposedly will be
completed over the next ~10 hrs. Expert divers will guide the boys
through 4 km of narrow passages, some filled with fast-flowing water,
where even a strong swimmer could have trouble getting through. In a
weakened state after more than 9 days without adequate food they will
need to dive using full-face masks through muddy water for up to 15
mins at a time. Heavy rains in the area overnight are believed to be
the reason for moving from a wait-and-see to a rapid extraction attempt.
