This company is laying off almost all its
workers because of tariffs
August 8, 2018
A South Carolina company plans to lay off
almost all its workers - 126 people -
because of the Trump administration's
tariffs.
Element Electronics, which assembles
televisions, notified the state of the
expected job cuts earlier this week. The
company also plans to close its plant in
the town of Winnsboro.
The company said the layoffs and plant
closure were a direct result of US tariffs
on goods imported from China, including
important parts that Element uses to put
together TVs.

South Carolinians are all lazy and stupid anyway. Execpt for a few, they're
all on welfare. That's because they're a a pack of white trash toothless,
illiterate swamp-mongers with single-branch family trees sleeping between
their sisters and their shotguns in roach-infested trailers.

It goes back to the time they got their asses kicked by the North in the
Civil War, mainly due to how they expected all their black slaves to do their
work for them as usual.

The monthly jobs report:

https://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm

<Quote>
Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 157,000 in July,
and the unemployment rate edged down to 3.9 percent, the
U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Employment
increased in professional and business services, in
manufacturing, and in health care and social assistance.
</Quote>

Look, I don't trust statistics any more than the next
guy, but if we're going to reject them then we have
nothing to argue. You can't claim anyone lost their
job without statistics, and nobody can argue that
unemployment is down without statistics, so either throw
them all out or accept that you lost.

Looks like a phone call to South Korea to see if they would make the
parts would have been a good idea before throwing in the towel.

Thanks to Trump's much improved business climate
we will quickly be able to make the necessary parts all
by ourselves.

Americans will have more jobs, Americans will be less
dependent on foreign exploiters. Good all around.

And the "socialists" will go nuts. :-)
