I've always said: Fossil fuels COOL the planet.
Sulfur COOLS the planet. Particulates -- particle
pollution -- shade the earth, making the surface
cool the same way standing in the shade on a hot
sunny day makes you cooler. But the sulfur actually
bounces the sun's energy back out into space, away
from the earth. It transforms into an aerosol and
reflects warming energy away from us.
The more CO2 in the atmosphere, the more sulfur
and particle pollution...
There isn't a climate "Scientist" on the planet who
doesn't know this, who doesn't insist upon it when
speaking about volcanoes. They COOL the planet and
the amount of COOLING is heavily dependent upon the
amount of sulfur they billow... despite all their
It's only when talk turns to fossil fuels when suddenly
all the rules of science fly out the window.
