I've long wondered if a battery casing could be tasked dual duty.
Turns out someone else thought the same thing.
Scaling issues for larger air craft with 2 hour hover times:
battery casing ~ surface area of battery
energy of battery ~ volume of battery
Using the battery casing as the air frame in larger craft won't result in as much weight savings as in smaller craft but the weight savings should already appear in a properly designed plane.
Can deniers think of any negative economies of scaling up?
