With avg global temps heading toward the 2nd warmest Oct since 1850 spot,

If you are in the hurricane's path (basically a beeline from W Cuba to
the Fla panhandle and then 1/2 turn right to move roughly along the coast
to NH) you don't have much time to prepare. That's rapid intensification
for you.

Much like the 10y timeline to reverse the +400 ppmv of CO2 in the atm
or any recent maxima become the new minima.

The Atlantic hurricane season is the period in a year when hurricanes
***usually*** form in the Atlantic Ocean.
...
In the Northern Atlantic Ocean, a distinct hurricane season occurs
from June 1 to November 30

A QC check for MPR's programming: Compare today's date with the range
above and tell us whether today is within the yearly hurricane season
for the Northern Atlantic Ocean.

No one wants to have a hurricane blow through their neighborhood, but
*something* comes with wherever one chooses to live: hurricanes,
earthquakes, snow, heat, abundance/lack of rain, etc.

Whingeing from a distance may suggest someone doesn't **currently**
have enough problems of their own.

How much sympathy/schadenfreude will others experience if that
changes?

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the
which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements
shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are
therein shall be burned up.
