The Supreme Court on Wednesday cleared the way for a climate-change rule
adopted by the Biden administration that would force coal-fired power plants
to cut their carbon pollution 90% by 2032 or shut down.

By a 7-1 vote, the court rejected a series of emergency appeals from
Republican-led states and the coal and electric power industries.
