Researchers have found that the global goal of limiting warming to 1.5 degrees
Celsius above pre-industrial levels is now almost certainly out of reach.

The results, published Dec. 10 in Geophysical Research Letters, suggest the
hottest years ahead will very likely shatter existing heat records. There is a
50% chance, the authors reported, that global warming will breach 2 degrees
Celsius even if humanity meets current goals of rapidly reducing greenhouse
gas emissions to net-zero by the 2050s.

"We've been seeing accelerating impacts around the world in recent years, from
heat waves and heavy rainfall and other extremes. This study suggests that,
even in the best case scenario, we are very likely to experience conditions
that are more severe than what we've been dealing with recently,"

First off, "Pre industrial?" Do you mean during The Little Ice Age
when the Holocene was experiencing an unusually cold period? Or do
you mean "1.5C above temperatures seen during Climate Optimum,"
which is just a fantasy?

Say, have you ever considered science for a change?

According to terrestrial data series, the "averaged" temperature 1.5 m
above the ground increased by 1.2 °C since 1850. 0.3 °C is left to
reach the 1.5 °C politically fixed limit.
Temperatures change with elevation. The 0.3 °C difference is the
"climate" change between the banks of a river and the 44 m (145 ft) hill
next to it. Everybody knows that the climate near the banks of the river
is intolerably hot ; nobody can live there.

The "pre-industrial" estimate was estimated using a very limited number
of weather stations, almost all of them in the northern hemisphere and
no data above oceans (70% of the surface of the earth).

Reminds me of a prime example of fake "Science."

https://www.weforum.org/stories/2022/05/human-caused-climate-crisis-is-driving-ocean-memory-loss-scientists-say/

"Ocean memory."

Effectively, water is a battery. It absorbs energy, heat, and it
releases energy (heat). This is why deserts are so hot in the day
and so cold at night: Without moisture (water) to absorb heat,
you experience it all. And without water to later release it, like
at night, it's cold.

Water MODERATES temperature!

There is not one iota of doubt on this one...

Anyhow, deep water temperatures haven't changed, haven't reflected
any precious GWOBULL WARBLING. As this is impossible, if the earth
were genuinely warming, they needed an excuse to explain away an
embarrassing fact, that that excuse is "Ocean memory." Turns out that
it's so hot that the ocean FORGOT how to warm up!
