I'm doing some work for a legal group that wanted to know just how
much evidence pointed to fossil pollution's links to heart attack
deaths. I like to do these kinds of things pro bono because that's
the way I was programmed. ;)

The client pointed me to some EPA links and a couple articles this one:

Study: An estimated 135 mn premature deaths linked to fine particulate
matter pollution between 1980 and 2020

by Nanyang Technological University
Between 1980 and 2020, estimated 135 mn premature deaths linked to
fine particulate matter pollution The total PM[2.5]-attributable (a-f
and g) premature deaths and (h, i-n) incidence in different countries
during 1980รข2020. Credit: Environment International (2024). DOI:

A study led by researchers from Nanyang Technological University,
Singapore (NTU Singapore) revealed that fine particulate matter from
1980 to 2020 was associated with approximately 135 mn premature
deaths globally. The findings were published in April in the
peer-reviewed journal Environment International.

And the AI programs I've been developing over the past few years to
help verify such things quickly found many many links. The strongest
ones seemed to point to a majority of heart attack deaths in e.g. the
US being linked with the density of diesel vehicles. If you live in a
state with more diesel vehicles whether cars or ag machinery you are
much more likely to die from a heart attack than states with low
numbers of diesel vehicles. There is also a link with asthma, stroke,
and cancer. But the heart attack link is the strongest:

States like: reg diesel mv Heart attack Linear model prediction
per 1000s km2 deaths per 100k
Wyoming 6.59174 95.84 91.1627
North.Dakota 24.3938 93.1 91.3207
Nebraska 36.3737 90.98 91.4271
Maine 79.2751 87.35 91.8079
South.Carolina 120.379 88.3333 92.1727
Kentucky 164.183 92.9 92.5616
Idaho 178.335 82.1 92.6872*(pred a little high)
Vermont 188.747 99.6 92.7796*(pred a little low)
New.Jersey 197.753 87.3 92.8595
Maryland 214.733 99.1 93.0103
Wisconsin 280.006 91.3 93.5896
Michigan 302.954 100.5 93.7933
Arizona 330.902 89.9 94.0414
New.Hampshire 379.914 85.4 94.4765*(high)
Washington 401.809 85.1 94.6708*(high)
Virginia 472.302 89.35 95.2965
Indiana 597.958 103.2 96.4119*(low)
Delaware 651.466 105.8 96.8868*(low)
Pennsylvania 772.113 101.8 97.9577
Ohio 828.625 111.1 98.4594*(low)
District.of.Columbia 4526.17 128.6 131.28
(The table is binned by diesel mv density so a couple heart attack
capitals like Oklahoma and Tennessee are grouped in with other
states. DC just stands out at the bottom because it is so small and
(therefore) the diesel MV density is so large so it can't be grouped
in with another state; that doesn't affect the result).

MODEL:
y = 8.876320e-03*x + 9.110422e+01
beta in 0.00887632 +- 0.00275462 90% CI
alpha in 91.1042 +- 2.91781
T-test: P(beta>0) = 0.999989
Rank test: calculated Spearman corr = 0.446753
Crit val = 0.368000 2-sided at 5%; reject H0:not_connected
r2 = 0.62034492

Net result: 2 stat tests are 95% sure or better (the T-test is
"certain" :) that up to 60% of heart attack deaths relate to the
density of particulate emitting diesel vehicles are registered in the
state. For each 1000 diesel MV per km2 there are 8.9+-2.8 more heart
attack deaths per 100k population (roughly 10% more).

For asthma it's 57%; all cancers 36%; stroke 20%.

Quite a burden.

What was life expectancy BEFORE the industrial revolution and the
use of fossil fuels?

HINT: It was *Way* lower. Since when you pretend that fossil fuels
started killing people, people have been living a great deal longer.

Increased life expectancy is, according to you, murder.

You're a Klimate Kapo in the fine tradition of evil men going back
to The Final Solution.
