The US weather service has issued an extreme wind warning for
the Tampa region and ordered people to stop moving around.
Meanwhile, out on the water the first signs of the water being
pushed by the storm have started battering the robots.
At 7pm Eastern the first 9m waves were being reported.
The NOAA forecasts of "over 12 ft" surges may come to pass along
the coast. Still no official read on whether the storm will pass
N (more danger) or S (less) of Tampa.
On the plus side the storm is now moving at 19mph -- about 2x
it's original speed. It won't hang around to dump a zillion tons
of rain. But the latest rain maps suggested 8-16" along a corridor
between Tampa and Orlando.
