Apropos the US still relying on coal-powered electricity.
It's been well know for decades that random carbon compound being
spewed into the air and water have significant health effects.
The amount of fossil pollution in the US is still growing.
Luckily, the cancer rates have stalled and the survivability has
improved. But that leaves around 300k cancer deaths each year linked
with fossil pollution.

Here are the numbers:

States like: coal elec cancer deaths Model
gen in 2024 per 100k cap
(MWh)
Rhode.Island 0 147.667 148.724
Washington 8.9613 148.5 148.781
Virginia 48.2472 152.6 149.032
Alaska 72.9853 139.2 149.189*
South.Dakota 103.986 156.9 149.387*
Montana 233.957 152.6 150.215
Pennsylvania 561.735 153.9 152.304
Florida 705.703 145.9 153.221*
Kansas 954.096 157.2 154.804
Georgia 1268.77 154.9 156.809
South.Carolina 1299.68 162.7 157.006*
Wisconsin 1372.23 153.2 157.469
Michigan 1649.77 161.3 159.237
North.Carolina 1809.28 157.1 160.254
Ohio 2578.32 171.2 165.154*
Missouri 3414.11 167.2 170.481

MODEL:
y = 6.372516e-03*x + 1.487241e+02
beta in 0.00637252 +- 0.00227666 90% CI
alpha in 148.724 +- 3.18317
T-test: P(beta>0) = 0.999889
Rank test: calculated Spearman corr = 0.788235
Critical val = 0.601000 2-sided at 1%; reject H0:not_connected
r2 = 0.63451445

As usual, 2 different stat tests are 90% sure or better (in this case
both are 99% sure) say there is a link with fossil power generation
and deaths from cancers. The R2 value indicates the estimate of the
percent of deaths "directly linked" with the effects of that kind
of power generation.

I.e. given there are an average 150/100k cancer deaths in the US
each year, and 2/3 of linked with fossil power, then that comes to
150/10^5*330*10^6*2/3 == 330k.

If you have been affected by cancer -- about 45% of the US population
will eventually be diagnosed with some form of cancer in their lifetimes --
please write a nice letter of thanks to any fossil CEO's you might know,
or any nice internet trolls you see boosting for a weekly pay check the
benefits of fossil power to their employer's bottom line.

Apropos the US still relying on coal-powered electricity.
It's been well know for decades that random carbon compound being

You're an idiot. A lying, treacherous idiot.

Probably the single greatest man-made threat to your health,
excluding weapons of war, is lithium. We keep concentrating
it, stuffing it inside of batteries which in turn are inside
of EVERYTHING so there's massive quantities being produced.

It's water soluble so it's guaranteed to enter the water
supply.

Recycling? Klimate Kooks are the first to screech about islands
of plastic floating around the oceans... funny how they both
insists that "Recycling" is a joke and that it's perfection
incarnate.

We have VASTLY tighter controls on mercury than we do lithium,
on both it's use and disposal, and it's an environmental problem.
Lithium is ubiquitous already, and growing more common every
single day, so it's literally impossible to keep it out of our
food and water.

Lithium is a brain altering substance. It chemically lobotomizes
you. Even BEFORE lithium powered EVs and Tesla battery farms,
studies had shown that areas with NATURALLY elevated levels of
lithium in their water were more complacent. This was
MEASURABLE! Things like violent crimes & suicides were lower!
Of course the lithium works just as well on normal people who
aren't suicidal or violent. It makes them more docile too.

It's making you more obedient.

Long terms lithium eats away at your kidneys though, so you
have a lot to look forward to.

Yes, yes, yes; lithium like cyanide is found in nature and you're
exposed to trace amounts all the time. But if you're not pleased
with the idea of raising your exposure to cyanide by many orders
of magnitude then you could probably understand why & how the
lithium is so dangerous to all of us.
